Old players (in game, not in years ) say that it will take a few years (2 or 3) be as good as they are, which is really frustrating.

This depends on your dedication and on how many cars you need to learn. At the moment we drive only about two cars: RDP and F1. It shouldn't be as hard as it was learning all default cars.
Reaching an average level shouldn't require too much time (some months with enough dedication). Things are harder if you want to be a top player, but not impossible!

I remember there was a rookie cup organized by dede. He allowed only to slower players to join. Maybe something like that could be done again sometimes. But that will not help you a lot. If you want to improve, then don't avoid hard races.

The time it takes to be good, depends on the dedication (meaning time spent practising), and on how fast of a learner you are.

I remember when i first played in 2004, i played this game so much for 2 or 3 months that i built some "basic skills" with the default cars (by this i mean some comprehension of how the cars in general behave) that allowed me to be fast with not much of a practice. Probably Tijny and Mike Nike agree with that for themselves.
The F1 car is basically an antislider enhanced/tweaked for the purpose.

I still believe the hardest car to get is the speeder > slider > easyslider > Anti. ( im forgeting spinner on purpose ahah).

Well you are very enthusiastic and active so that's a very good start. For me it was easy to start playing years ago as there was many newbies at the same time. I improved quite fast to the average level because of that but then it stopped as I didn't want to waste hours to wanking or simply my learning skill just isn't good enough. I don't care about it too much though as it's fun to race as long as there is someone you can battle with. It doesn't necessarily have to be the top of the group. In punaball my target has always been a bit more ambitious although it's a lot harder to measure one's skill accurately in puna as it's much about with who you are playing with.

Anyway, if you need any help with your newbie player helping campaign, I can always help you to organise tournaments or offer a server or just play whenever I have time. It's always good for the game when the new players get the feeling that they get involved and are not totally forgotten.

Who knows, maybe some day default cars will regain the position they deserve in TS community. Even racing with Spinner is more fun than racing with F1.

I doubt that Default Car Racing will be as popular as Full Contact, but for sure I'll organize some default cars tournament after the F1 League..

by the way, i am really sad for f1 race still, maybe thats the reason im opening this topic. Rookie race is for pro players whit little mistakes in preQ ...6 players in rookie race have to tell us something (maybe tells that i sux :D)

Don't leave, you show great motivation, and iniative. You deserve lots of respect for that.

Skills will come, since you are a motivated player.

I know some players can realy drain all the fun of playing, but just ignore them. There usaly not in the F1 servers, so that is a bonus aswell.

Keep having fun, looking forward to help whenever possible.
