Server Network Settings

Post by Jeffrey » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:04 pm

Hi.. can anybody give me some more detail on this option:

When i host a server, the clients say that they see some lag. Can this option which is found in the network settings help: SEND INTERVAL

The manual says it needs more bandwidth. I have 2 Megabit adsl i think this is enough.

lowering it from 100ms to 20ms can help in this lag problem

thanks for your help

Have you verified this statement in any way, tested it maybe?

In theory you would see an improvement but in practice it's not noticeable. It would most likely possess other problems as described above.
The only way it would work is that some packages takes another route to it's destination and arrive earlier than others. But I don't think that will happen in a 100ms period.
