Punaball 2 vs 2 World Cup (SIT 6) Sign Up starts

Hello to everyone in the TS community!!!

Finally we managed to form a group of players who will take up the organisation of the first Punaball Worldcup (edit by Mike Nike: sounds good ..but if this cup could be called Punaball Worldcup, then it is not the first one - at least not for some people ).
Mike Nike, Road_Octane, Ippon-Dede and myself (Ippon-Wazaari) Will challange ourselves to make this the punaball-event of the year.
The cup is due to start in March and the whole of February will be used to let people sign up for this great tournament.

The cup will be played based on 2vs2, country vs country.
The first part of the cup will be poole-based. The final part of the cup will be played according to a play-off system.

Wait a minute, this is World Cup / SIT6? Well if it is /SIT then it is no World Cup, just another Ippon Tournament.

If it is going to be World Cup, as many have said, it needs to be supported by Ande and JollyGoodGames, not supported by Ippon-Team.

-> This is not ("the") World Cup but it can be called for example "a" or "a kind of" World Cup due to the Tournament settings (intercontinental participants and servers - in addition the try to get less teams / country and 1 nationality / country and the cup system of groups and later playoffs let this Tournament look more like a Soccer World Cup, which is making so many players happy )

JJG will never do such a clever thing like supporting an Official World Cup and no one else wanted to do (it seems)!!!

Me and my team decided to organising it, but (personally) i didn t fight to organise it....simply i was the only that wanted to do it!!!!

The name of SIT 6 is only related to cups that i m organising....it doesn t mean that Ippon team is organising it!!!
As i wrote everyone can help me in organisation and everyone can join organisation!!!!!

However it is time to do rules and cup sistem, if someone have some ideas he can tell me, otherwise i ll do them by myself (but no cry then...)

OK i have a puna arena that can be used, i posted one in the other world cup topic, and now i have added grass to it, looks good!


Arena Attributes -
Height - 400 Pixels (PB-Arena 480)
Length - 600 Pixels (PB Arena 640)
Goal Width - 80 Pixels (PB-Arena 80)
45 Degree Corner Walls - 65 Pixels (PB-Arena 65)

It is a bit smaller than PB-Arena, its shape is more realistic to a real soccer field. I have played on it for a while, it feels really nice. I hope you use for the cup!

The po-arena was designed for optimum viewage and also got rid of the sticky walls, but the latter is besides the question. Pls..if u have so much free time on ur hands that u want to make an arena, pls build it with regard to game-enjoyement (like actually being able to see what u are doing without having to use a zoom) and perhaps come up with some fresh enhancements.

..oh and mr goatee..i dont remember asking u a goddamn thing...

OK im a nosy little prick.... i actually take much of my time to build tracks and host leagues for your enjoyment, and if anyone is being nosey, it is the one who disrespects my work. My arena i have made was ALSO made for games, not for looks. You dont need to change your zoom, because i made it based off of the PB-Arena. If what I and Jazzy do for this game means nothing to you, fine, but we will both continue to work for the people that do enjoy our work.

Also for the record, the Big Apple is in NewYorkCity, im in upstate NY, just to clear that up.

Lets just end this pointless argument, HH you can go play punaball on your "perfect" arenas and chevron you can go race dirty like you do. Im off you work on my tracks.

EDIT - Just one last thing, you must know that i dont have a big ego. When i say how much i do for TS, building tracks, hosting leagues, im not trying to tell you how great i am. Though, when i get insulted for my work, it makes me angry, its like having it thrown back at my face, is it all bad to expect some recognition?

0.86b had punaball, even automated servers for a while (thanks to =VM= lowman). I don't remember exactly when Punatiainen put up his first test servers for the first version of punaball, but im guessing it was somewhere in May 2004.

As far as i go with the arenas, i see no need for new ones. po-arenas have always been just a make over of the originals (correct me if im wrong borg, but the arena size and goal size have always stayed the same), so i have never had any strong feelings for or against the arenas. So if Mouses arenas don't change anything i won't really care either, but we don't really need new arenas, at least not for traditional punaball.

To be honest, i feel a bit uneasy that a track is being made by someone i don't recall ever seeing in a punaball server, but commenting should be done when the arena has been tested in game.

I think you fail to see the other way around here; Punaball was the most important reason for me to buy my 1.0 license, and without it I might have quit TS already. So in a way it keeps the TS community -also the racing scene- (somewhat) alive.

Mr Mouse....U take this way too personal, i wasn’t talking about u, i was talking about ur track...and taking it personally, like u obviously are, is having a boosted ego sir. Throwing mud at me wont get u very far sir and for what its worth, most punaball players actually agree with me.
And if i had been u, i would have contacted mr Pornfest b4 engaging into building a new track, u might have gotten some sympathy for ur track by default then. If u had done this in the era of the Great Punatiainen-Arena's, Puna would have sent his lawyers after u...
(Puna even threatened to quit TS when Tijny made a new ball on a rainy Sunday)

In my humble opinion, we dont need another punaball arena especially when it wastes the fine afford me and Tijny put into ours to make it "perfect" for fit to screen, not to mention the nice netting.
It would be a mature thing of u to recognise my critique for what it is without having to discuss whether or not we should be friends which is so totally irrelevant.

And to let bygones be bygones, and on that bombshell etc etc; what is important here is to get the World Cup up and running. I hear that Wazaari is having trouble getting feedback from is fellow organisers and i think that is a shame. Let's just focus on the signing up, the qualification system(s) and a good organisation for the Cup in this forum.

OK then, mabye i did take it a bit too personal, anyone who knows me knows i dont like conflict, but it does not take much to make me mad (my whole family is like this), im sorry for this, but it happens. Also, i dont feel the need to have to contact anyone when i want to make a track or arena. I did not make this arena to replace any others!! I made it because i love to make tracks, and people have asked me to make a new one, so i did! I liked the result of it, so i put it on the forum, mabye people would like it, mabye want to use it for the world cup. So i come on to see the responce and see "take it off the forum," im sorry but i did not take it the right way, no matter how you ment it. i did not make it in hopes of taking po_arenas out, i made it because i wanted to.

Im sorry for this conflict here, i did not mean to cause it, but shit happens.

HH your arenas are great, i use them often, but i wanted to make my own, not to be better than your's.

Last thing for me to say based on all of this, my first response was forcused more to Chevron rather than HH, i know its late to say this but its the truth, this is a very sensitive subject i can see, im going to just step back from all of this.

Indeed guys lets move on, make this cup work.
