speed and connection of online games

Post by cwebs2708 » Thu Sep 07, 2006 5:51 pm

Every time I've tried to play online with Turbo Sliders I've encountered a problem with my connection. Quite often my car stops moving or spins around without moving forward. At the same time, I see my opponents' cars jerking around the track.

The displayed ping times are between 230 and 650, and I always go for the lowest number.

As things stand, I cannot play online :(

Anyone else experience this?

It would be nice knowing which connection do you have, or if you use other programs that generate a lot of traffic (p2p for example).

I've just checked online and my bandwidth speed is 1.86 Mbps, with a download speed of 237.99 KB/sec.

When I last attempted to play Turbo Sliders online I disabled my firewall and had no P2P applications running.

Perhaps the answer to my problem is within the settings section of the game itself? I don't really have a clue what to select for these options, though, and just clicked on the default options.

Could be caused by your own computer maybe.. for example if it's too old. If you want to do some tests, then contact me via msn messenger.
