Here is something i am sure you have never seen before:

Image

Track using a pic taken with a camera. I set a little "track" on my kitchen table, snapped a picture (or what felt like 100 untill i got a "good" one) and i threw it together for a new TS track.

As you can see, the image is not very good. Colors are.. odd and the quality sucks (my camera is not the best...).

Please look at this with an open mind, this is just and idea of what i can (and plan to) make in the future.

That was my inspiration. :)

I wanted to make something similar but not stealing his idea.

I think next time, i will make a track on the floor, i needed to get the camera so high up to get the whole table in. I actually stood on a ladder with one hand on my [15 foot] ceiling to take the shot.... lets just say i dont want to do it again (i hate heights.....).

Would not such a bad idea to take multiple shots and link them together in photoshop. though there may be problems (picture angle, lighting and how the camera takes the pic (sometimes the colors are off))

Wolf: no the track is not up for download. I dont know if it will be, ever.

I have thought of that too. I could check it out, but there would be 2 big problems: scale and picture quality.

That's right. "Real size" track tarmac is too tight for TS.

i tried google earth too but the track width is too small in the highest possible zoom so its not really possible to make the "perfect track"
the foto idea seems to be very nice, i would like to try that one too Mouse have nothing against it ;)

If we'd like to do "photo track", then we need greater tracks just than 2000x2000. There is good example track made by Jeffrey, a few corners from Spa track, whole track requires like 10000x10000.
