Leaving DIT out of track-competition would mean no DIT when track competition takes place (no tracks were sent for DIT purposes this month - every unreleased track was sent for this track competition).

About adding the winning track to the official ranking is a good idea, but why not having a DIT on it? It makes it more simple.

OK, so if I got it right, it is DIT in competition-winning track whenever the competition is held and on some other track elsewhere. That sounds fine to me.

Thanks all trackmakers for doing some nice tracks. Here they are know, eleven hard worked and well thought tracks. Voting progress starts now. Above is instructions how to vote. Remember that you cant vote your own track.

We are looking best tracks so all areas are important. Well of course all of you have different weights of things but try to think of all directions when voting.

Tracks are in first post of this topic. GL for all tracks!

Today is the 11th, why has voting started?

I guess my track will be a "late" unnoficial entry... :|

Though, based on results, i guess old school style tracks would be favored over any other style, so perhaps it was a waste of time for me to enter...

I will vote tomorrow....

Rules says:
"after 10.12 i put links to tracks and pictures in forum and then voting starts."

So isnt it logical to start voting 11st day :)

Sry that your track isnt in competition :S

Ahhh ok. In the US we would write "12/10" so it confused me, i looked at the second number and though "The 12th" is the due date. ARRGGG

Well i guess next time, when voting ends i would like to post my track's pic just to see what people think.

I love making photoshop tracks, i am nervous that most [old style] players will not choose my track because it is PS'd. Perhaps i must make one in the normal editor if i want to win..... :?

Anyway, a misunderstanding on my part about the date, no harsh feelings. :)

1. Jn_Tramerengio (a good layout but a lot wide to be played with all default cars)
2. aspern (good choising of winter style with a good ambientlight)
3. k-HandInTheSand (crappy idea but funny)

In short:
1: pu_Senarat (simple and elegant, typical pu-track)
2: Jn_Trameregio (nice looking and ok profile)
3: Limp_City_Slalom (good flow and speed, a bit rough but fun)

btw: please download my track again, the starting grid had some glitch (track name also changed to hg_Ezartian).

In long-version:
Toaster0:
Toaster0 is xzeal looking track, obstacles near track edge and really no room for errors. Those tires in the curves are annoying and no feel of flow in the track. The flow stops between laps. 44s with slider.

Aspern:
Nice looking track with drawn track-profile and lightmap. A bit too dark for comfortable driving, can't see cars tires and taking curves is harder. Etmil continues with his style and again this track is good to drive but with different lights it would be maybe better. As other photoshopped tracks also this track has odd slippery feeling. Track edges are nicely done. 28s with slider.

Cockimus_Maximus:
This track's maker has some issues. Easy to drive and you can lean to the track edge. 14s with slider.

JC_Losail:
Race-track styled with racing tiles and special slowdown -terrains. Pretty ok and easy profile and a bit wide for normal cars, maybe nice with speeder. Very common, nicely done track for Jeffrey. 38s with slider.

J_Zuca:
Jarno doesn't fail his fans. Zuca's track profile is typical for J-track with tight curves after another with still keeping the flow barely running and being careful not to go wide. Zuca is nice track but could be better with some curves done differently. Not so fun with slider, though. 36s with slider.

Limp_City_Slalom:
City Slalom is done with a fresh but seen touch, a bit rough style but the feeling is ok. The track profile is nice with fast and slow curves and being careful not to go wide. Track seems at first a bit confusing but it is easy to learn where to go. Track has some Limp-pu with it. 42s with slider.

pu_Senarat:
Senarat is a puna-track, it is easily seen. The profile is simple but elegant and curves are tight but rewarding when driven right. Nothing fancy but simple elements and good driveability. 29s with slider.

VPA_Vega:
Vega has nice track profile with long curves and good continuity. Long curves are a bit Jarno-styled. Good flow from lap to lap. Nothing special but done with nice touch. 27s with slider.

Jn_Trameregio:
The track has nice profile, curves are tight and in nice combination. Tremeregio has also nice scenery. Some curve obstacles and track-sections could have been done differently, though. Nice looking, fun to drive. 30s with slider.

k-HandInTheSand:
This track has a good idea but with default and slow cars the track is a bit boring. The track is photoshopped and comparing to Aspern the track edges are not so sleek. With slider and speeder this could be nice. 42s with slider.

I don't understand [and probably never will] why people don't like Photoshopped tracks and dark lightmap. The lightmap isn't confusing for me at least.. and about the Photoshop: the way I design - by drawing a scheme of a track and scanning it into PC and then making a tile of it - it's just a LOT simpler with Photoshop and I could probably never achieve such track shape with default tiles and for me the track shape is by far the most important thing. But I don't know why people don't like tracks where only a little Photoshop is used to get a desired shape for the track [and maybe a more beautiful terrain/background]. To each his own I guess. And just a side note.. in my opinion racing tracks never had jumps in them

I got bored waiting for a download to finish, so not a lot effort went into that one :).

Oh you might want my votes too?

Ok I'd go for
1. Limp_city_slalom.

I just love non traditional tracks and the track is pretty big. Ok fine, so racing on this can be a real pain the arse, but I don't care. I don't value those "normal" racing tracks very highly. I did in 0.86b, but now I've just had too many of them.

2. Jn_trameregio

Alright so this track is my nr.2 really loved it with Speeder. However I imagine Antislider wont be so enjoyable :). Well polished, interesting track profile (easy to remember). Good track.

3.J_Zuca

Lots of turns, yet still fast with Antislider. I'm an Antislider whore and most of the other tracks had some aspect I didn't like about them so after the elimination process this was left as nr3.
