Illegal Street Racing - cars

EDIT: Cleaned up the topic a bit.

I've made cars especially adapted to my Illegal Street Racing tracks. The size of the tiles pretty much dictated the width of the road when I made the tracks, which lead to very narrow streets... well I guess suburban streets aren't that wide in real life either. I made the cars a tad bit smaller, and very easy to drive.


Dby_Street - Rally
The style of this one is not far from Easy Slider or Jazzyclub's rally cars. Very fast acceleration but slowest top speed.

Dby_Street - Muscle
This one is really fast, but with slower steering, kinda like speeder.

Dby_Street - Racer
This car have good grip, sort of the anti-slider of the group. Decent acceleration and top speed.

Dby_Street - Drifter
The slider equivalent of Illegal Street Racing. Slow acceleration but second fastest top speed.

This is still a work in progress so stuff might change before everything is balanced and finished. Help out testing and voicing your oppinion before the Beta testing period is over.

I've updated both previously posted cars and added a new one, but I haven't done enough testing yet, so something will probably change. Let me know if you think something needs tweaking.

dby when will another street racing track be relesed??/car??

Not today at least, now I'm trying to balance these car properly. I'm not really happy with them yet.

As for new street racing tracks, there will be more, some a bit wider... and I also have plans for some new tiles, like sidewalks, gas station etc. But I can't say when, I really have more important stuff I should do, as fun as this is.

I have changed acceleration and top speed a bit to fit the car types better, then spent a few hours testing and tweaking to get things balanced. I have also made some small changes to the pictures. I think I'm pretty happy with my cars now... but let's say they're still in beta mode, so any records made might be redundant if a car is changed.

Let's hear what you think, if anyone is interested? What should be tweaked before "public release"?

Edit: Would be fun if someone could set up a server for testing... I still haven't fixed the firewall on the wireless I'm sharing with a neighour.

I've updated all the cars. Some small tweaks to make them more balanced hopefully, but I need some more testing to see if they really are.

I've been testing and balancing the cars mostly on the default tracks lately. Last test I drove 8 laps with each car, and the lap times are really close. Racer and Rally seem generally a bit faster, but a lot of non-default tracks are fast so things might even out. Here's the fastest and second fastest lap on each track, don't laugh... I know I'm not a fast driver. But you can see the difference between the cars is not very big, maybe around a second at the most, compared to the default cars which can differ several sec sometimes:
