wll, lets supose that a miracle happens and we get 32 players, then we'll need at least 4 servers to host the whole tournament in only one day in 1h and a half (suposing each match takes 5 minutes).

A more realistic estimate would be 2.5-3h if you really think you really can do it in that time.

And I still don't think the qualifying/seeding system is necessary (yes, I don't like wanking but I still can't really see the point especially if you go with double elimination).

Btw, how would seedings work?

Seedings are based so that top 2 players in qualy wont meet until final. Top 4 playes wont meet until semi-finals. Top 8 until quarter-final and so on. I commented before a link with a spreadsheet, there you have it clearer

I couldnt think of a better way of seeding. I dont think that ramdom is a good idea, supose we get only 17 players... we should eliminate one so we are 16, how can we do that??. (Same problem if we are 33 players or 18, or 34... or any number thats not power of 2).

In my opinion wanking a single track for 2 weeks for a 2-hour event is not ideal. You'd probably get more accurate seeding just by estimating/asking long-time players to estimate others' skills if you really want seeding (due to differing time constraints and willingness to wank) not to mention making the cup itself fairer when the track is new for all (assuming you or someone else makes a new one though you obviously don't have to). And if you get 17/18 players wouldn't it be easier to make the lowest-seeded/ranked players to drive against each other for a qualifying round (in effect giving everyone else byes to the second round). IMO seeding is not even needed but then again I tend to think of all cup/tournament-type thingies as winner takes all where second places don't really matter so it doesn't really matter if Tinjy gets knocked out by dede in the first round (hypothetically).
Random draw > guesstimation > any other idea > seeding by wanking (even sounds like IVF which isn't the real thing!)

well... considering that RoC didn't atract as many people as i expected and also the fact that i dont have much time right now, this tournament will be posponed to next month maybe or whenever i have time to organize it
