:? 2.0 'mod speedway needed' ?????????

hi
everytime i view the avaliable 2.0 servers it says "mod speedway needed"(and wont let me on) :SO HOW DO I GET THIS SPEEDWAY THING! :?

You probably need to download it from somewhere and install it. Find who is hosting the server, and ask them for it. Remember to say "please." :wink:

You can find it at stspl.eu, forum section. I don't find it very interesting, since it's motocross in oval tracks.

thanks dede (and others)ive downloaded sts but i can't find certain things when i open ts so i'll wait until an established version is realeased

No works :( 1st installed the Sliders (rc3) and then unpacked STS to the Sliders directory. The mod and the tracks does work, but still it say "mod speedway needed" when i try to join a server.

I really wish those mod makers would use the installer script I have included in the mod directory to make an installer for their mods. It would automatically create the mod directory and shortcuts to run the mod without having to remove TS.

Oh you already did it, that's great! :)

By the way, maybe it could be possible in the future to automatically switch mod when trying to connect a server that is using a mod that is not currently running but is installed. I need to consider this later...

Yeah, that could be quite useful. But if that's gonna happen, you should kind of split the serverslist in tabs (up/down for selecting the server, right/left for selecting the mod).

Game Rating: 4
I dislike the way the bikes r designed (not graphics wise, speed,turn etc. wise) and basically all of it however if u were to make a speedway mod with nascars and nascar oval tracks i would happily give it a rating of at least 8

Graphics Rating: 10
despite the game rating the graphics is awesome! the track, bikes, pics ect. is really cool i think that is the best out of all of Speedway mod :D

but because of the game rating i would probably reccommend NOT getting it....Good graphics though! :lol:

i'm so sry about the last post but i have changed my mind!! :D sry,
after forcing myself to play the mod i started to take a liking and therefore the rating is now

and now I am starting to make ai lines for ALL the tracks (which will tke while) and will start giving links to download them :D for those people who get bored driving alone on speedway and there r no speedway servers online

I am halfway done with the ai lines and have made a car in the meantime and have posted it in the cars forum:

Never used Speedway mod much because the ovals are unrealistic to real life. No bankings. However, I could help with increasing the realism of those tracks.....just lemme know.

Actually, there is banking, and the banks in every course are different. You need to learn a course to find its fastest line. :wink:
