I listen to, Rock, and rap/hiphop

Rock would be like: Van Halen, Dream Theater, Liquid Tension, Disturbed, Metalica, ZZ top, AC/DC.

Rap is like: Eminem, 50 Cent, Llyod Banks, LL cool J ect.

Long time Metallica fan here.... the old Metallica (80s and early-mid 90s).

80s metal/rock is a favorite. I also enjoy other types of music.... (google: boTECOeletro. Good stuff!).

Also, the geek that I am enjoys to listen to movie and game soundtracks/scores (John Powell).

I love instrumentals.

All the rap CDs can burn with books!!!! BURN THEM ALLLLLLLLLLLL.

Personally I listen to system of a down, godsmack, 69 eyes etc. oh and Estonian punk.

Oh JMKE has even some songs in Finnish (2 that I know of).

As compared to the likes here, I must have a very original musical taste, but anyway, what I basically like is.. (indie) rock, jazz, ambient, new age, piano music - anything that soothes the soul. some favourite bands/artists to be named: Coldplay, DagÃƒÂ¶, Liisi Koikson, Sigur Ros, U2, RHCP, M83, Royksopp, Ursula, Nest, Keane, TÃƒÂµnis MÃƒÂ¤gi, Belle & Sebastian, Olav Ehala, Vennad Johansonid, Kait Tamra, Blake Neely and of course.. film music as well [Hans Zimmer, John Williams, James Horner, Craig Armstrong..]. all unfamiliar artists, eh?:P

I listen many kinds of music, punk/rock/dance/pop mostly i guess. Nofx, Millencolin, Pennywise, The Offspring and Rage Against The Machine to name a few. My Last.fm profile gives some hints too (soon 100000 tracks played, woop). But any music is better than no music at all!

Me too! But I prefer Megadeth ("Peace Sells"/"Rust in Peace"/"Countdown to Extinction" albums are great)

Dave Mustaine (Megadeth founder/leader) was the lead guitarist of early Metallica. He co wrote all this Metallica's songs: The four Horsemen, Jump In The Fire, Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Ride the Lightning, Leper messiah, The call of Ktulu.
Sadly he was kicked out of the band by James, Cliff and Lars for drug abuse...

The Megadeth song "Mechanix" was originally the Metallica song "The four Horsemen".

Metallica has their 9th album coming this year, I hope it's much more like their music from 15-20 years ago.

PS, anyone for Nirvana? Another of my all-time favorites. Nevermind is a great album.
