Yeah, it's sad to see the Netherlands go home in such fashion, especially after showing such great play in the group phase
Even though I'm from Estonia, I somehow still loved and cared only for the success of Team Oranje. I really don't know why, I love how they play and I agree that yesterday they weren't in their best form and that's even more reason to say the loss was bitter and disappointing. I'm not the kind of 'sports-fan' that would always favour the team 'that is playing better', I just care about some teams and I don't care about others. People have told me that the Russians just played well, okay, but a true fan holds on to his favourites, even when they seem to have a bad day.. that is why, even though 'Russia played better and won', I can't lose my enthusiasm for the Netherlands..
I also watch basketball and in our local league there's always been a rivalry between Rock and Kalev (2 best teams here). They're always in the finals and also this year it went so. I love Rock because they've got cool players and play 'team-oriented' basketball. They got ahead 3:0 in the final series that was until 4 wins. And in the 4th game they were like 19 points adrift from Kalev, 6 minutes to play. I believed until the end. Rock won 64:59, making a run of 24:0 during those final 5-6 minutes. I had such hope yesterday, but it didn't come out so well, yet I won't stop supporting the Oranje. The quarterfinal curse has shown itself twice in a row already, and it must be broken. I just hope the majority of these players stay in the team and make it to the World Cup 2010, especially van der Vaart, Robben, Babel [who never got to play in this tournament
], Kuyt, Persie, Nistelrooy, Bronckhorst..
Pity that van der Sar ends his international career, the new goalkeeper must be as good as him, if not better.
Now all the semifinalists are just some random teams I don't give a damn about. If for anything, it would be Turkey, because they've surprised quite a lot in the tournament. But to believe in Turkish win would be kind of a vain hope. Still, nothing to watch anymore, in my opinion..

Casillas was damn good. That one save he made with his right leg while running back to his goal line was amazing. I was leaning to Italy to win when it went to penalties, but Casillas was too good.
Now I don't care so much who will win. Usually when my team gets eliminated I'll go for an underdog team. So, come on Russia.

Donadoni needs to be kicked and new era in team italy too. Attack is best defence!
