The GPOR.IT Server is ready for complete statistics, records and standings!

We are starting a new season, a 24/7 competition! No registrations, not a specific date/time: you play when you can...just enter and CORERE!

Rough Driving isn't allowed, we have many administrators that will bans without warnings all stupid players!

10 Nov 00:01 (CET)

End of the season:
14 Dec 23:59 (CET)

(we see the date of the log file)

So what is this? I have done some racing in this server but there is no any results in gpor-site... But how does this "cup" go?

Results aren't updated after each race. You can check last update from the website anyway.

I really liked this system league because im playing some races with a lot players.

Races with fuel and damage + server 24 hrs online = Perfect

But the system points is a bit silly.

E.g: A guy with one race can get a better ranking position than a guy with 50 races.

All players could win like 1 point per race ( just a symbolic prize).

I think doing something like that we could have more players online and more players playing this championship.

Its unfair too when its possible to lose 3 , 4 points per race. :/

Or another suggestion.

Anyway just suggestions for a new championship.

Well, if it's not possible to lose points, the person who does the most races will probably win.

The system now I think is a nice idea. Sure, a person who does 1 race can beat a person who does 50... but that person who did 50 races probably sucks a lot (and, therefore, probably deserves to be beaten).

Though I agree, the system is not perfectly fair, but it's very good for a 24/7 cup i think.

Quite much as it is now.

Maybe we could use a ranking based on 1vs1 comparisons, since Tijny has created one already. It works nicely, an example is here.
It's very accurate, but probably for most people it's better like it is now

Standings table could also show little more "crunched" information: Winning percent, podium percent, average points per race, etc.

82.128.192.120 Should be banned...pushing, blocking and crashing in the pits (on purpose). I think Janne and many others can confirm this

This is a nice server... BUT IT DESPERATELY NEEDS MORE ADMINS. Couldn't you just spread the password to people like myself, Janne, Buggis, Scud etc etc the list goes on. Well-known players. So that most of the time there would be at least one player with admin rights. The racing there is gonna die soon if we don't get more admins...

...and yeah, please more admins! My cup stats got nice hit now because of those jerks. Propably back in 0 points

I think most of demo players are playing quite fair and that would also mean a lot lesser number of players, so it would kill the racing as well.. Just give us right to ban!

I think nobody should get a long ban except serial_man. After all, newbies often drive backwards at their first races because they think it's fun. Almost all players did that at least once in their TS career, but after a kick/ban, most of them will stop playing that way.

But I agree that we need more admins.

there is a problem with FTP connection. the standings will be updated as soon as possible

but all the races are always valid for standings (the log are working)

No point to ban demo players from 24/7 servers... Demo version was modified to get more players and everyone knew it would bring some problems

(well scud said it as a joke anyway).

PS: Heh, Buggis has been very active racer, 310 races
