F1SL Season 9

Good Q1, very bad Q2. But manggg what an epic race, started not so well but then some nice overtakes. At the end of the race I was closing in on Shy and Woki on my fresher tires. I overtook Shy before the final chicane but like 2 laps later I made a mistake and he overtook me again. Then I went for the same overtake but while entering the chicane I think he hitted me

which gave me more speed and I coudnt steer my car enough to the left anymore... Result is me being launched into the grass lol. After that I made many more mistakes and failed in catching up the 2 again.... This coulda be Toro Rossos first 1-2. sorry Mike that I could not pull it off:P. But it was a nice race!!! Onto SPA!!!!!!!!!!

dang! i only got 5th position because others failed aswell! epic performance from me! started all with a patetic wallstick in pits from 2nd position!

Can this mod be added to the server list? I really like the concept of F1SL and when i create a server i'd like people to see it

Also, why are the ferraris green? Some kind of bug? They are red in the cars menu but when playing locally or online they're green

You are forced to use red color. Otherwise, there'll be a problem with paint schemes

That's not a problem for me, but it's not good. You will see normal cars in ghost mode then...

under 3.7.9. - you may cross it, unless someone passes by, then its forbidden to cross for both cars, the one coming from pitlane and the one passing.
so id say, if you go out of pits and cross the line and the car from the road closes up to 0.9 carlengths behind you starting to overtake (getting side by side would mean 0.0 carlength behind) or bumps into you....before the end of the pitline...then it was illegal by you.

well...in the one case i get told there is no possibility to miss a checkline or to be faster with some cut...i would probably skip worrying about checklines and skip checking them in the editor.
and if i get a warp/lag in the race then....and cut accidently and miss a lap, which i probably wouldnt have, if i would have checked the checklines by myself....i would get pissed maybe^^

in domans case...on the other side, there is a decent chance, that nobody else did know about the possibility to lose a lap there, where he made the cut. so maybe everyone had a similar chance to get bad lottery there, which is somewhat fair then.

still, i wouldnt like that a trackerror would influence the raceresult like that.

if it would have happened in early stage of the race and doman screams "I MISSED A LAP TOTAL F*** MANG RESTART RACE" ^^...i probably would have either stopped driving or voted for some sort of fair treatment after the race.

hmm...and on another side - a lap cost around 42 seconds - thats just about the time i lost in monaco due to disconnection (40 sec maybe there), not considering the amount of time i lost due to warps lol^^

so, just considering the standings-battle between me and doman, i might be on a similar badlucklevel for this season and my pointdifference to him might be somewhat accurate.

Do you guys really want to redo the entire german GP?

That would be the most stupid and unfair thing ever. In previous races where Domans was often the host people had many problems with lags, even getting disconnected like mike, and unplayable racing for full start of race. Not even talking about all the Q2s i missed for instance thanks to lag.

Now Doman missed a lap due to actions of himself and protests pop up everywhere just like that?? Totally not fair imo, can we rerun spain, monaco, canada too please?

Yes, and we should total re-run Bahrain because of Wokingers warps.. completely ridiculous idea, otherwise you would NEVER get a race done!

yeah... I reported complaint, because I didn't know that there wasn't checkpoint. It wasn't my fault, just track fault.
As for lags, I know that a lot of players had lags, but nobody of the Poles didn't have better internet than me and I had to host. In conclusion, I think that restart all season is a great idea...

I didn't watch the replay, so I don't know how big was the cut. But if you all agree on the bug, it should be quite easy to give the lap back to Doman, right? Then, if the cut is illegal, punish him with a penalty and it's all fair again

I remember that this happened once in a racing cup organized by me, and all we did was to give a lap back to the unlucky driver. This can be done as long as the player keeps driving, otherwise it's a bit more problematic.

As for the lags & disconnections, if it's not clearly server's fault then, in my opinion, it should be considered "part of the game" or "player's fault".
Of course it's different if all players disconnect and the server hoster wins because of that.

If anything is compromised, just introduce a drop system like Lanz suggested. Not a solution, but at least these "unlucky" situations will have less importance in final standings.
