So that is exaclty what i try to say and is an argument to not release the tracks! Since you can still get close to the top guys without releasing tracks as you give an example with Pablinho :D . You can just practice on old tracks or the F1 servers as Pablito prooved :).

About the GPnewstar:
Man, I installed it yesterday and I really couldn't enjoy it enough to keep the game on my PC. :) Cars just have so weird handling, especially in curves and during the collisions. I had a feeling that car is not totally under my control cause it often steers much more that I want to. I felt like it gives me some kind of weird help in certain circumstances.
 Yes, most of the persons who come from TS never really enjoy NSGP cause the handling is very very different. But i have to say a few things about that. Probably you have tried the offline mode and its not what is played on the official Online championship. Car behaves very different online then offline. What i´ve mostly heard from guys coming from TS or even MRO is that on NSGP car slides and that its not at all the behaviour of a F1. I have to agree on that but, its a matter of getting used to it and forget for some moments TS or MRO. Its just a different game! Also, to give the game a chance you should try racing with real guys and not COM. I mean online. The battles we have there are great and its not like TS that you have to memorise the turning points making it much much harder to master it. Even though its hard, believe me.

NSGP is all about strategy as well. We have weather changing in the middle of races to rain/sun and you have to pit to change to rain tires (slower), theres also a rule we made that all drivers have to use both types of tires in one race (if not rain). Soft tires (faster but wear faster as well) and Hard (Last longer but are a bit slower and have less handling).
So all of this makes the game very enjoyable to compete, its a lot of fun which is what should be all about or? :)
We even have a real F3 Racer among us that prefers NSGP to any other of its kind which can say something about it i guess...

But i ask you, or any other that tries the game. Give it a chance by playing one time the online championship. Its 2 races in a row! If then you dont like it and didnt had fun, then uninstall it but....give it a try first! A real one, not offline!
So for everyone that wants to give it a try, next 2 races are tomorrow (Sunday) at 10AM (Uk time). Yes, we play in the morning!
Just show up 30minutes before to practice the ALREADY KNOWN tracks!

And once again, sorry for this big offtopic, a big one. Im not trying to sell any idea, otherwise i wouldnt be here to race with you guys. ;) I just would like to see more exchange between both communities (if that is possibly to say :D ). We both obviously enjoy top down racing so, why not this...? I was hoping to convince some guys to join TS but like you with NSGP its hard to convince them, cause they are different games! :D

I know that if everything continues like it is, both games will eventually die....or get very poor attendances and its up to us to avoid that by "injecting" new players that bring something. ;)

Yeah, costs 4€ but you can play the online competition also with DEMO, no limitations at all! So, just download demo and show up to test it online if you feel like. Today theres also 2 races BUT from Division 2 at 19h (uk time). Main division as i said, 10AM Sundays (uk time).

Back to topic, is there any specific time where you gather to practice TS a bit? Cause makes much more fun with more players instead alone. Let me know the times and days if you do have it. Thanks! ;)

Decreases the number of pilots for new games like rFactor 2, ect.

An example: MRO 2008: 75 riders per race and there were 15 Championships (also Polish).

MRO 2012: 40 riders per race and 10 championships with a high level (Brazil, Spain, Poland, Germany).

This is normal, new technologies raze the old games.

Guys, i have problem that already happened before on the Scarts races...when i tried to host a game, everything goes fine until the moment we go to the race. We were 3 guys. I started but the other 2 cars stayed stuck on grid without moving even if in their screen they are moving but my car was stopped!
Is there a fix for this? I remember i couldnt join the Scarts races because of this, i hope it will not happen tonight even if i have the feeling that it will! :(

Ok, see you guys later at....19:45?? for warmup? Whats the exact scheduale?
Thanks in advance for any answer. ;)

This could be because of your router. When hosting a game you need to unlock port 6655 (both TCP and UDP). Probably it's currently unlocked just for TCP packets (chat), but race packets are UDP.

Servers should be ready for 19:50 CET, but normally we warm up earlier in current F1 servers. I will practice in the afternoon, since I'm slower than REIROM.

I´ve just checked my router settings and....i have ports 6654 and 6655 open to both protocols TCP/UDP so i think its not that issue. I set this exactly when i had those problems on Scarts but didnt solved it apparently. Any other ideas?

Also, around what time will you be online to practice? I might join! :)

I´ll go straight to warm up! I had too much racing for today already and need a break for some hours!

Guys, last offtopic i make here. I created a thread on NSGP forum about Differences between NSGP and TS. We would be keen to have your feedback there! ;)

Here: http://www.newstargames.com/newstarforu ... post129271

Maybe in the future we can have a fusion of both games/communities with the best parts of it. But for that to happen we need to know what you consider to be the best parts of it! :D
Both games have fantastic things!

See you soon at the race for my debut!

EDIT: Ok, i just opened a new thread on this forum with the same content, so you dont have to create an account on "our" forum. ;)

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaa, first time podium after I don't know how many races. Wish Shyguy was there to witness it

First lap was clean then i got into some trouble. Have to look replay back again but seems some shove their car really into the front of others so then i decided not to give up that easy :) .

After first pit i picked up the pace and drove away from matic. Seeing Mike was still quite alot behind but knowing he had to spent less time in pit because he carried more fuel.

Third stint nerves started to kick in knowing i could get top 3. After pit mike was only 1-2 seconds behind me and he started to hunt me. After a few laps I made mistakes after getting distracted by backmarkers and mike nike caught me. Defended off all his attacks and the last 3rd and 2nd last lap i drove very good and got a small gap back. After that I could finish the race and get 3rd!! WOOOOT.

After race lanz complained about me rough, I have to see back but cant remember anything major, i just cutted him back on the inside after he take my line :p. Also maybe have to look back the moves vs mikes but for now i think they were fair enough by far.

:P

just a block, i had the extra speed to overtake you there, following the contact where my car slided away! the only thing i dont like about that car!
instead of going for 3rd i was 5th after that! whole action made me pissed off! thats why i dont understand why etmilo was so mad! after his 2nd pitstop he overtook me the same way as i did with him! both times our cars got that weird slide! not that i felt i had to give way! but im ok with whatever the chiefs decide!

Yeah well if I had the expertise I would put together a video of those 2 rough moves we're accusing each other of. In my very humble opinion, the one that I was overtaken with on lap 31/37 was quite a lot more rough and Lewis Hamilton'ish than the one I committed on you. Anyway, I guess 6th place is an improvement from last week's 7th.

Track design was good, but I personally wouldn't have used that 540 degree turn there as far as layout is concerned. But it was done well, the bridge looked nice and the middle part was my favourite. I can't say it's a bad track, but when it came to my driving, I just couldn't find a fast enough line throughout the race. In some corners I lost majorly.. every lap.

Pfff, I was skeptical about that curve before the race, but whole track seemed nice. It was still brave from T to include such a curve.
Speaking about the race I can clearly say that it was the roughest one in the whole postREIROM era. I admit that on some parts it was really hard to be fair (like under the bridge part), but in most cases it was disaster. People just don't understand pro rules well enough.
They should know that:
- Pushing is wrong just as blocking is.
- Being faster doesn't still mean that you're allowed to overtake.
- Using inside line means you have to brake earlier and let outside driver in front if he's in line with you, cause outside driver has advantage in those cases.
- Even if someone is obviously slower in front, you can still do nothing until you're prepared for a clean overtaking no matter how long it could take and how irritating that can be!!! Pushing is not allowed there.

Admins should really consider punishments after they analyze the video.

Btw, beside of all pushers, I enjoyed this race kinda even more than last one. That's mainly cause T avoided having long straight where we have to do corrections of our driving lines. All straight lines fitted nicely to 64 rot-images (rot-directions). I'm not sure if he did that intentionally, but it was nice to see.

Well, I couldn't do any better today. I had a close battle with dede and I was leading until I had a lag attack, after that it was an uphill battle for me. I briefly led after my first pitstop because I stopped a lap earlier than dede (funny pit exit there! :D), but he quickly ran away from me and I never saw him again.

About the 540° corner, I tried to make it in such a way that it wasn't TOO easy to crash, which was hard enough in its own right - I'm not sure how many people crashed there, but I do know that it did create some interesting racing situations between me and dede when I was still close to him.

I would also like to weigh in on the whole "rough" thing, I say, don't take it all too seriously. Sure, fair play is a nice ideal but in my opinion there's also such a thing as being too fair. It's still an arcade game and if we have to let each other pass after every touch, we might as well enable ghost and be done with it.

Firstly i say sorry if i damaged anyone's race, not on purpose for sure. I also have to say that i didnt really paid attention to all those points you mentioned even if i agree with them. As you probably know well, its really hard to keep this attitude when you are surrounded by 4/5 cars in one tight turn. What shall i do? Let them all pass not to hit them? I dont think so or? :) So what i try to do is if someone is faster then me then he has to show it on track and eventually i will make a mistake and he has the chance to pass. I will not block it for sure.

About replay, where can i see some replays of the race? And how to save it? Sorry newbie questions!

About the race...i had loads of fun and was quite happy by seeing 20 players on track with no big connection/lag issues! I guess im not used to it on NSGP! :D
I wasnt very happy with my result but...for what you guys said, for a rookie was a nice start so i have to bee in some way satisfied! :P I thought i got 4th on Q but forgot that there was a parallel Q happening and got 17th adding results! From 4th to 17th (on my mind) was horrible! :)

Race i tried to keep a consistent pace while trying not to damage other one´s races that are not from my league at the moment. As expected, i $#&& my race mostly on strategy cause i never made a single pit before so i didnt really knew when to go and how much to put...i guess i have to practice that a bit.
In the end i got 14th! Ok i guess for first race. 8)

About the track! Great! I really enjoyed it! Congratulations...
How you make the 560º turn work? There is a checkpoint at the entrance of the tunnel which makes the car disappear and then appear at exit??? :D That would be a solution or? Let me know...im very curious! :P

You can record races by yourself manually and automatically.
-To record some race or part of the race manually - just use F4 (you will see "rec" sign on top of the right corner of the screen.
-To make game record races automatically just fallow game menu: settings/recordings and then set how many last videos you want to be saved. Those options for different intervals aren't that important to you, so don't touch them.
-You need to know that video files are really small and recording will never make you any problem (lag) while playing. So, basically, you're not limited there at all. For example, Mike Nike has big collections of videos on his PC which are from 2008 year or even older. So, he obviously use option "save all races". Almost all core players do that actually. It can hardly take more than 10MB per year of hard disc.

But, you need to know that videos captured by client and those ones captured by server aren't the same. If you record the race as a client, you will also record all lags and warps you got in the race. That's why it's better to wait dede to upload the server's video. It will be much smaller and it 'll look perfectly just like you played the race offline with 0 lags and 0 ping. There is already replay video of last race on Homepage, so you can see how it looks.

I also suggest you to go to settings/statistics and set permanent logs: Enabled.
On that way you will save logs in your "log" game folder. Those are txt files where are all informations about points, chat massages, settings, lap times and many other useful things (one file per day).
