Well, you can decide to lose few more years trying to ignore some of my thoughts. But sooner or later, it will end up with 100% of my suggestions included.
So, why just don't get perfect league right next year?![]()
Remember, at first you were all against track realizing and I couldn't even mention it this and last season, even it was obvious that F1 will lose a lot of activity. But look now, seems you all sucked up your own dicks.
i suggested this already some months ago and i´m saying it once more! we easialy could have 2 cups a year! 1 like it is now and 1 with different rules! there are so many good tracks available we don´t need 12 new ones! a cup with 8-10 released tracks could be easialy done with a pre quali wanking system like we had in league 3! i´m a fan of both systems we played in the F1 league! so there is no personal opinion behind except that i want an active F1 community! i even offered my help in posting standings etc. but i won´t do that anymore, so i don´t blame anybody if it stays like it is now! cos we always need someone to put some work in it, i´m not able to do that and we can´t ask always the same guys to do everything!
One suggestion i would give is...the points system. I hate it how it is right now!
Why not using the F1 system, as simple as that? 1st place 25 points 2nd 18 3rd 15,.....
Makes achieving a point with a 10th place very enjoyable and rewards victory well. Makes no sense that a guy finishes last and gets loads of points like it happens now. 20 points!!!

I agree, points system is whiplash-style so that almost automatically means it sux! Heaheh joking (but not too much).Afinfas wrote:One suggestion i would give is...the points system. Well, so in your style all players under 8th place will get 0 pts including all players from rookie race. That would be awesome!
I remember how hard was just to qualify in pro race in season 2010. Those 20 pts were more than fair in those days.
Btw, I'm not full of myself, I just don't have better emoticons to signalize sound of my messages here.
hehe..very interesting scene there between alfonso and augusto.
lawyer of augusto would say:
- the optimal line to drive through last curve is in a way you end up with steering right, then steering left in order to put the car direction equal to the road direction. so these 2 steers are somewhat normal and doesnt necessarily count as defending lines yet.
- by accidently steering too far left does not count as decision to defend on that side, hence a correcting steer just followed. and even if he would have driven slow or fast to the left side, he could have still just tried to follow the optimal racing line.
- after driving a while straight ahead, now by steering right a 2nd time he defends his 1st time now
- by driving left again he just drives back to optimal racing line in order to get through the curve
lawyer of alfonso would say:
- lol bro, read da rulez
uhaheuhae
well, imo augusto already did his 1st defending steer when coming out of the curve, when he did not hold down the left key 100% of the time. so his car drove more to the right side than it should be. the 2nd he did with a very slightly steer to the left side. both of these were probably not supposed to be defending moves - so i wouldnt blame him totally.
the 3rd defence was obvious the right steer.
the 4th defence was when he probably just wanted to steer into next curve without losing too much speed and because he didnt collide with alfonso, it might still count as legal move.
but he changed the direction at a timing and in a way it really looks like he wanted to keep alfonso from overtaking.
lol...funny stuff.
@lanz
hahaha ..the scene in middle part lap 7:
i was trying to get hevonen and all i thought about was overtaking him somehow and not to defend my position.
then you suddenly came from behind and tried to go inside. now that i already drove to one side, which was actually just due to following the actual racing line, i didnt know if im allowed to defend inside now or not. imo it woulda been an illegal defence by me, so im glad i didnt close the door. but since i followed the racing line before, i wasnt realizing early enough that this line actually already counts as defending line, especially because you were still quite a bit behind.
when you made a late steer to the inside, it was the first time i thought about defending and quite impressive short time later i already realized i probably may not defend to the inside anymore and while thinking about if i may or not, i totally missed the braking point, while moreover being slightly distracted by the fact that hevonen also left a little door open for me to maybe dive into.
so..thats why i gone so wide in that curve
too much surprising brainf**k in too short time

Nah, I don't agree with awarding points to the top 10 only, I just think the gap between top places should be a bit bigger.Whiplash wrote:Well, so in your style all players under 8th place will get 0 pts including all players from rookie race. That would be awesome! We just need fair stats, that's all. So, there must be difference between each of 2 places (even between 40th and 39th). Somebody could have great fight for 14th place and get 0 pts for winning it. All drivers should be respected. 20 pts for 20th place would be more than fair if we got more rookie players. Seems like dede couldn't predict that F1 will lose rookies interests so much.
You're right - but people lost interest even during that league. In the beginning some players had to wank 24/7 to qualify, but near the end it was much, much easier to get into the top 20. Also, the fact that there are currently barely enough players to even organize a rookie race does not stem from a lack of interest in F1 or the league format - it's just because there are less people playing the game as a whole right now. Sad, but true.Whiplash wrote:I remember how hard was just to qualify in pro race in season 2010. Those 20 pts were more than fair in those days.

@Whiplash Sorry, i couldnt repeat the same time i did before but....check this out!Mike Nike wrote: hehe, and nice to see me having a fastest lap on some screenshot once in a while ;D..even it was in relaxation race only.
@Mike Sorry mate, this time on the screenshot you are in second, together with a rookie guy who has the same time as you!
To mention that i set these records with the options mentioned by Whiplash!!
"Dont forget to be happy!"
yeah your right! not the system made us loose players more the fact that after the league we have 9 months of simply nothing! at first thats not attracting new players and as second we also loose even more veteran players! so its not a surprise that we have less players every season! with some more and different competitions we could probably turn things around!Tijny wrote:You're right - but people lost interest even during that league. You´re a difficult guy to convince!Whiplash wrote:Photoshop.
First of all. It would make no fun to cheat on that way. Im the kind of guy that doesnt finish games with cheats but ALWAYS without, otherwise makes no fun for me.
For me, nice that you say that. It would mean that my skills on Photoshop had improved considerably. I think i couldnt make that honestly!
Third, for the difficullt guys to convince: Here the download of the replay where i set the Record!!!
RECORD REPLAY
LAP 4/12
Still not convinced?
EDIT: BTW...this lap system also goes on my nerves! Lap 0??? last lap is 11 from 12??? doesnt make sense for me....i never know in which lap i am really!
"Dont forget to be happy!"
I was joking there of course.Afinfas wrote:You´re a difficult guy to convince!![]()
That's cause the game counts how many laps you finished, not what lap you are in. So, you always need to add 1 more lap on it to see what lap you're driving in.Afinfas wrote:EDIT: BTW...this lap system also goes on my nerves! I'm sure there is some reason why developer decided to make it like it is now. He probably tried to avoid some coding problems there. I found the potential reason why he did that, but somehow I can't remember it now. Anyway, I would like to see it working on the other way too.
hmm..dont know right now, but..probably because there is the laptime info.Whiplash wrote:I found the potential reason why he did that, but somehow I can't remember it now.
so you dont wanna write: last lap: 17.123, current lap: 4/18. to save space on the screen you just go for 17.123 and corresponding the "this laptime was done in lap: 3/18"-line.
edit: that lap was beautiful to see
well done, man.
it was lap 5, in case someone is gonna watch it.
Yeeeeah, good point there. Nicely noticed.Mike Nike wrote:hmm..dont know right now, but..probably because there is the laptime info.Whiplash wrote:I found the potential reason why he did that, but somehow I can't remember it now.

With the other words, it would be bad to see after first lap that it shows:
L: 2/40
P: 1/20
17.123
You would think that you achieved that lap time in lap 2 which would be wrong.
In that case it must be written like this:
L: 2/40
P: 1/20
Last lap: 1/40: 17.123 (which doesn't look nice on the screen)
But I would put here another potential reason. I think that Ande wanted to avoid extra coding for last lap in this case. If the game would show what lap you're in, then he have to make an exclusion for last lap - after passing finish line, lap number should not be changed there. Otherwise, if you drive 1 lap race, it would show L: 2/1 on the end even there is no lap 2 in fact.
So, Mike, Generally counts laps nicely even lap numbers and lap times doesn't correspond each other. Still, that doesn't make any confusions while you play it. So, stats like:
L: 2/40
P: 1/20
17.123
wouldn't confuse people actually even there is not mentioned corresponding. The thing is that Ande would have to make some extra coding to make the exclusion for the last laps.
Hmmm...im not at all a master here but...seems a bit unrealistic to make a 41.7sWokinger wrote:I needed to check what laptime I can do42.269s having 10 laps seems not bad (It's my second season here!), but with many small mistakes, so 41.7 or less possible here.
I know its perfectly possible to go under 42s as you can see in my lap as i wasnt full speed sometimes in places i could have been.
But a question is raised...did you used the same options from the Official race?
These ones:

No. But for me it's still good! I'm not a king of one lap. I usually have good racepace and with laprecord 0.2-0.5 worse I can still be competetiveAfinfas wrote:Hmmm...im not at all a master here but...seems a bit unrealistic to make a 41.7sWokinger wrote:I needed to check what laptime I can do42.269s having 10 laps seems not bad (It's my second season here!), but with many small mistakes, so 41.7 or less possible here.

If by digging around you mean rearranging the track, I would say that's cheating. Did you also cheat your way to pole position in one way or another?Oompa wrote:You all suck. I did some digging around and came up with a 30 second lap. I can do it faster, but I don't like to wank.
Btw, my best laptime seems 41.634. Without fuel or damage, I don't have the patience to enter the pits every 2 laps.
