Well actually i am going to release the tracks and car to everyone this week. The car is finished....but i need BluT to test with me first to make sure all is ready, he is in charge of this league also, so i want to make sure he is ok with everything before i make it final. Also, there is only 1 test for the whole season, it is basically for drivers to get a feel for the car, get used to their colors and stuff. There will not be any practise sessions on any servers, it is up to you to practise offline, or make private servers to practise on. so TnT the test session is not really too important, its just get drivers to feel comfortable with the car/tracks. I will put all the tracks and car on the GPOR Server Forum this week, then you may practise whenever you like!
Also, your color/nick codes (to be cut/paste in players.dat) will be posted here this week.
Only 6 days untill testing! 20 days until race 1 at Bahrain!

Well actually, there will be no bots used in this league. Tomarrow's test session will come to play though, so you can see how collisions are. I can tell you, from testing with BluT, that clean driving is needed in this league, Formula 1 cars are open wheel cars, so collisions are bad, same in TS!
I can make some bots though and send them to whoever wants them on monday.

Testing is complete for the EA-F1 league, here are the drivers who competed, and my thoughts on their performance.
TOY benzinfurz - very fast, i could tell he had practised as his laps were consistantly fast and smooth
RBR BluT - middle - end of practise he was fast. was leading many of the "races" during this session.
MID Dragonstar - i did not see much of him in this session, but when i was near, he was hard to keep up with, and harder to pass.
MCL Obi! - i could tell he had not driven this car before, early on he crashed often. As the session went on his laps became smoother and faster, with practise he is going to be a fast driver.
SAU Mike Nike - well, as expected he made the fastest lap in practise, he, alond with me and BluT has the most experience when it comes to F1 racing, and it was easy to see today.
SAU Jazzyclub - made some very fast laps, and lead the sessions a few times. along with Mike, team Sauber may be the team to beat. 2 very fast drivers
Ren -wolf- - wolf did better than i thought he would, his times were off the pace, but with practise im sure he will be just fine come race day.
RBR Mouse - king

ABOUT QUALIFYING -
i have some ideas on how it will work, one stands out more than others (1), here is a list of possible qualifying setups.
1 - 3 sessions, sessions 1 and 2 are 3 laps, and session 3 is 5 laps. Final positions after all 3 sessions is the grid line up. Multiple sessions are done to give drivers a better chance at a good starting spot, and to help drivers who made a mistake catch up. Fastest lap also wont count, this is a big time saver, as ! wont have to tally times, and a grid set up "race" wont be neeced. More info on this to come in the near future.
Bahrain is in 2 weeks guys, plenty of time to practise there, get on it!

Rules for Racing -
1 - Clean racing at all times. Pushing and blocking is not allowed by anyone. Backwards Driving should not even enter your mind, this is a total ban from all leagues hosted on GPOR and a server ban.
2 - For drivers being passed by leaders (being put a lap behind), you MUST let the leaders pass within 1 lap. No need to dive off the track in sight of a leader, just wait untill a good turn and drive your car high, to allow the leader to pass under you. Slowing in a straight also can be done to let the leader pass, but you must pull out of the track "line", the lead drivers should not have to change his line to pass.
3 - If you wish to retire from the race, please pull your car into the pit and then exit the server. Dont stop your car on or near the track.
4 - Talking during the race is not allowed by anyone. If you retire from the race, you are not allowed to talk. Spectators are allowed during any event, but also must not talk.
5 - Pit lane short-cuts are not allowed on any track. If you are forced into the pit, you must exit the pit in the same position you entered.
Penaltys -
Penaltys may be given to drivers after some incedents, including rules 1-5. Penaltys can be anything from a qualifying penalty (last place start) to taking points from you. Race bans are possible, but you really need to make may people angry for this to happen, and i really dont want to do this. I am hoping that all 19 races can be run without any problems.
Complaints -
After races, you are allowed to make a complaint about a drivers on track actions. You must tell what he did and what lap. This will be reviewed by GPOR team members to decide is a penalty is needed.
Qualifying system -
There will be a 2 segment qualigying system before each race.
Segment 1 - Random order, 2 laps, ghost on. Points 20 19 18 17 ect....
Segment 2 - Cup order, 1 lap, ghost on. Points 999 950 900 850 ect...
The cup order after segment 2 will be the race's starting order. This will save much time, as lap time tallying and the 1 lap grid setup race will not be needed.
Race length -
Each race will be about 20 - 25 minutes long.
Race Day Time Schedule (all times GMT) -
18:00 - Server Opens
18:10 - Qualifying Segments Start
18:20 - Race Starts
18:50 - Server Closes
These will be the average times for each week.
Practise -
Practise sessions will not be started before races on sundays. It is up to you to practise offline or to open a private server. Sometimes during the week, I and/or BluT will open GPOR server for race practise, server info will read as F1 Practise, you are allowed to enter and practise with us.

2 - For drivers being passed by leaders (being put a lap behind), you MUST let the leaders pass within 1 lap. No need to dive off the track in sight of a leader, just wait untill a good turn and drive your car high, to allow the leader to pass under you. Slowing in a straight also can be done to let the leader pass, but you must pull out of the track "line", the lead drivers should not have to change his line to pass.
3 - If you wish to retire from the race, please pull your car into the pit and then exit the server. Dont stop your car on or near the track.
4 - Talking during the race is not allowed by anyone. If you retire from the race, you are not allowed to talk. Spectators are allowed during any event, but also must not talk.
5 - Pit lane short-cuts are not allowed on any track. If you are forced into the pit, you must exit the pit in the same position you entered.
Penaltys -
Penaltys may be given to drivers after some incedents, including rules 1-5. Penaltys can be anything from a qualifying penalty (last place start) to taking points from you. Race bans are possible, but you really need to make may people angry for this to happen, and i really dont want to do this. I am hoping that all 19 races can be run without any problems.
Complaints -
After races, you are allowed to make a complaint about a drivers on track actions. You must tell what he did and what lap. This will be reviewed by GPOR team members to decide is a penalty is needed.
Qualifying system -
There will be a 2 segment qualigying system before each race.
Segment 1 - Random order, 2 laps, ghost on. Points 20 19 18 17 ect....
Segment 2 - Cup order, 1 lap, ghost on. Points 999 950 900 850 ect...
The cup order after segment 2 will be the race's starting order. This will save much time, as lap time tallying and the 1 lap grid setup race will not be needed.
Race length -
Each race will be about 20 - 25 minutes long.
Race Day Time Schedule (all times GMT) -
18:00 - Server Opens
18:10 - Qualifying Segments Start
18:20 - Race Starts
18:50 - Server Closes
These will be the average times for each week.
Practise -
Practise sessions will not be started before races on sundays. It is up to you to practise offline or to open a private server. Sometimes during the week, I and/or BluT will open GPOR server for race practise, server info will read as F1 Practise, you are allowed to enter and practise with us.
