Mokilixys 'sucks' imo because in at least 3 places, the track shape doesn't change the driving line much, or doesn't require the driver to do much anything about the driving line. First time it's in the southeastern corner, near the beach, just before that 90 degree turn to the left. Unnecessary.
Second is after the hairpin turn in the southwestern corner, you could just have made a straight line connecting those two hairpins, now it's just there for beauty or whatever. Third one is in the northwestern part, that zigzag thing, you don't actually think anyone's gonna steer left or right there? It's just a drivethrough thing, perhaps a difficult chicane (requiring you to steer or decelerate) would work better.
In other tracks there are various parts, especially in curves, where the track is wider than it's supposed to be. And having smilies beside the track doesn't really spell out 'professional' or 'good' in my mind. Just my thoughts.

Red - Why is the slight turn there unnecessary? It really make no difference if it is there or not, if it is not there it will make the turn look boring.Ahsen wrote:Mokilixys 'sucks' imo because in at least 3 places, the track shape doesn't change the driving line much, or doesn't require the driver to do much anything about the driving line. Blue - Sort of a pointless suggestion....why must he make it straight?
Green - So again, dumb down the track? It will change the driving line, you wont be able to enter the final turn at a wider angle, making it a bit harder to make. There is no problem with that turn really. He could have made it tighter, but really it is not needed.
Cyan - This i do agree on, when the track's width changes, especially so much in some parts of the track, it is not so good. There was only 1 smiley face...so there was really not much here to complain about.
It seems like the problems you pointed out, Ahsen, are very minor. To say the tracks suck is harsh, and really they do not suck.
I think the tracks are nice, they could be better of course, but as they are your first tracks, very nice job. Malihaba could use more detail, it looks rather boring to look at. The rest are nice in terms of detail, but they would be better if you took more time. In a few months your tracks will get better.
EDIT - Ahsen i went back and looked at the first tracks you posted, really they had the same "problems" you pointed out about Anddru's tracks. Newbies to track making don't deserve to hear "your tracks suck" from others, but as you did not hear that, Ahsen, (not saying you should have, you did not) you would not understand i guess.

you can simply NOT join it...Ahsen wrote:I'm sorry but the.. track sucks? I did apologize, mark my word, so no hostility, k thx. No offense.
It is not necessary blaming other's work!
If i choosed them is because i wanted them for my cup!!
Good job anddru...considering that these are your first tracks
The same i think.
I have straight ways, so i make some small curves to make it loke better (and so you not shall drive straight, because thats boring).
I know Malihaba is not that good, but it was the first track i made.
About the width, yeah, i know it's not good with it. Someone told me after my first tracks.
And i will not make that in my next tracks.

Can I not have an opinion now? Oh sorry for trying to express mine, I won't do that again, like ever.
Seems that I misinterpreted the function of these forums - voicing your opinion and discussing things. I did apologize already in my 1st post when I criticised, but apparently.. that's just not enough. So I'll stay away from like.. all further discussions.

It's not like I ever had that in mind anyway.Wazaari wrote:you can simply NOT join it..
There are different kinds of tracks and they are better or worse for different cars. Some of my tracks suck with antislider but are good with slider and so on. Some tracks are more hmm sleek than others and look great with just basic tiles. Puna's tracks are example of sleek with few tiles and great with anti and slider but they can be also a bit boring because they are so sleek.
There needs to be different kinds of tracks to play with but some guidelines could be used when making a track to make racing tracks more enjoyable. For example no obstacles near the raceline, start/finish line in straight line (not diagonal) and good distance to the 1st curve so the flow continues from lap to lap and so on. My track design guide shows some tips but would need some updating.

about the tracks as everyone here :p (no one talking about the cup anyways
)
i have not tested them yet but on the pictures i can see that there are obstacles in the inner curves which are very close to the "race track" and this is a thing i absolutely dont like for driving default cars .
i'll have to see if the tracks are drivable or not to make the decision of joining or not joining. sry waza :/
edit:
don't think they are that good to drive :/ i tested with anti and also saw that there are many bump possibilities for slider/eZ/speeder caused through the obstacles near the driving area and also the fuel filltank is much to low
you would have to go in every 2 or 3 laps thats boring i think :/
