Hello world of TS!

It's time for Swoot-team's second tournament. We hope to gather best antislider-drivers. For more info about Swoot check our website:

Swoot Cup #2
Swoot cup will be a series of 5 challenges each one driven with a different car (easyslider, slider, Speeder, antslider and spinner)
General rules: We insist that every parcipant acts like a gentleman. Most of the players follow these customs by nature, but we feel that these matters should be highlighted so that everyone understands the rules. Pushing, blocking etc. is forbidden in some extent. Here are few examples:
-Intentionally bumping a fellow racer out of track.
-Blocking an over taking car after you have crashed
-In case you happen to crash to an obstacle and a following player bumps you loose and gets stuck himself, its a good manner to let him take you over.

We know that the difference is delicate and people have different views on this issue. Our aim is not to extinguish proper racing, we want to make it more fair and clean instead. We hold the right to make the final call in argumentative situations.

A few words from Wazaari concerning the server: The server is running on my computer and unfortunately there will be lags during the qualification. Server will be up for qualifications every nights.

Second challenge

Qualification:
Rules: Every player has a chance to participate to the tournament by running qualification laps on our server. Only laps which are driven on the server apply for qualification. You can try as many times as you want. 16 drivers will be invited to race in the actual tournament, based on fastest laps.
Time: December 18th - 23:59 CET December 24th

Swoot Challenge:

Semifinals:
16 players will be divided to two groups of 8 players. Top 4 of each group continue to the final.
First we'll drive a two lap qualification in ghost mode, without points, in order to determine the starting order for the actual race.

Sign up is needed to join race, if you donâ€™t sign up you will not join real race.

After each cup we will have 4 different rankings

1 Single Players Rank (points of semifinal + points of final)
2 Single Players Fast Lap Rank (using fastest lap of each players from Semifinal and Final using this point system: 25 22 20 18 15 13 11 9 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0)
3 Team rank (points of semifinal + points of final of the 2 best pilots of each team)
4 Qualification Rank (using this point system: 25 22 20 18 15 13 11 9 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 according to final result of qualification session)

I fixed the problem related to the track's bug (the new track is now avaible in the autoserver)
Anyway all laps driven today will be considered for the final rank.

Hmm...i wonder if it's the server having a wrong time balance. Maybe 1 week wrong?
Anyway, i guess if Dec 18 22 CET there is a race..the quali will go until 20, 21 or tight before 22 CET, right?

6th with anti, Woooo!!!

Nice races.

In semifinal i ended 4th. I lost lots of time (10 laps) to overtake Ivan Drago who was really slow and didn't let other pass.
Then i had to fight vs hengari who overtook me while i crashed (trying to pass Ivan).
I was a bit faster than him (hengari) and i managed to take a little advantage when he crashed.
With a better start i could end 3rd.

Final:
I was surely the slowest. i had a bad start and then was blocked/pushed out several times.
Managed to get 6th place because of Tijny & Borg errors.
I am very happy of this, not bad for a 3rd class driver

Allright, Swoot chaos #2 ended

Congrats to dede and all others with no lag, congrats Lirarn and etana for a nice place in the final race, congrats Tijny for showing you was able to drive constant fast one more time.
Thanks to hosters: Claudia: your server was pretty good - nearly no warps or lags...i did not remember if there was one since there were so many warps and lags in Daphne's server

1,5h before the cup started, Claudia open a warmup server -> very nice.
etana and me did not join though - instead of having a necessary warmup to be able to compete in the fastest lap rank, i wrote a long comment (not posted yet) for Z's blog

and joined a Slider cup by Puna after (nonghost and half serious). I wonder who practiced how long and who had no lags in the final race. Tijny and maybe dede were kind able to drive better laptimes in their qualification...
Final race: after a relative good quali lap with 1 crash and 1 lag i started last...oh well

Got a few positions back, but without doing a real mistake, i found myself in last place again. In addition Wazaari crashed me once in a bad way and i wondered why he skipped to let me pass again (what you thought there, waza? anyway..). In the semi final i even let 2 drivers pass after crashing, to avoid blocking their laptimes in the end of the lap (2*2 laptimes would have ruined by 1 block else).
So...nevermind, waza

After i skipped counting how many warps and lags i had, i decided to fall back, since i was a warpy/laggy danger in front of other cars. My race was already ruined - no need to ruin the race of others too

Consequently i tried to drive a fast lap, but had no success in getting a good lap in a lagless lap.

Quick organization of the cup, all in all - well done. Sorry for not warming up and sorry for my connection to Daphne's server

Claudia - would like to see who practiced at your server (saw there were many drivers, actually).

Well I didn't do any warm up as mike said, but that wasn't really necessary either.. I knew track very well from qualify drivings even though I didn't really like to drive it. Some puna track in next anti race?

Semi-Final was almost like a sunday drive with lirarn

Though I noticed my speed was quite bad. Didn't find right kind of... "feeling" to get good speed. In final qualify I thought mike was 2nd with .4xx time, but it seems that seconds weren't 35

Final went... badly. After I was able to crash at start (sry for that) my driving wasn't good enough. Some 35.3-4 laps in row. I didn't try to drive as fast as possible, because I would have probably crashed again... So I hoped that lirarn would do some mistake, but that ended to be false hope

In overall 2nd was good after that start.
